Rita Timpanaro* is an Equine Expert Witness / Consultant and Certified Equine Appraiser / Consultant, providing horse information and education for use by attorneys, judges and juries during legal procedures that involve horses.

She has been involved in the horse industry for over 35 years and provides hands-on knowledge of the horse business as a nationally acclaimed rider, riding instructor, horse show judge and clinician. This United States Hunter/Jumper Association (USHJA) Certified Trainer provides expert knowledge of standards of the industry including, but not limited to, horse behavior and safety procedures; stable management (for rental, lesson and boarding stables); all levels of riding, training and instruction.

Profile:
Rita Timpanaro has been involved in equestrian activities since the 1960’s and is a National Champion Rider and nationally acclaimed trainer, clinician, and judge. In 1966, at the age of 16, she was awarded the National (AHSA) American Horse Shows Association Hunter Seat Medal Championship (presently USEF). As owner, manager and trainer of her own barn for the past 35 years, her students have won Zone, Regional and National Championships. In addition, she is a United States Hunter/Jumper Association (USHJA) Certified Trainer and Clinician and has been invited to conduct riding clinics throughout the nation.

Throughout her career she has officiated as a United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) judge at major horse shows on the East and West Coast and Canada, including Regional, Zone and National Championships. In 2004 she was presented by the Long Island Professional Horsemen's Association with the Virginia Rice Trophy for "extraordinary, outstanding and unique achievement in equestrian sport."

Rita has been published in the books Show Rider, The Horse Show, and Horse Show Judging for Beginners. In addition, she has been featured in magazines such as: Sports Illustrated, The Chronicle of the Horse, Horse Show, The Horse of Delaware Valley, Horsemen’s Yankee Pedlar, Today's Equestrian, HorsePeople, and Monarch International’s Show Circuit, to list just a few.
