Each clinic session consists of flat work, gymnastics, and jumping a course in accordance with the level of horse and rider. Based on the American Hunter-Jumper Forward system, Rita incorporates exercises to help improve the position of the rider and stresses the influence the rider's aids have on the performance of the horse. The rhythm of the horse, track the rider chooses, and balance of both horse and rider are emphasized. Each is given the opportunity to work within their abilities and enhance their knowledge and skills.
At the conclusion of the clinic, all participants, trainers, auditors and parents are invited to ask questions. From a judge's perspective, each has the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the system and criteria used in judging horse shows!
